I’m Georgie
I’m Georgie Landy (LCAT, ATR-BC,), a licensed and board-certified psychotherapist and creative arts therapist with a master’s degree in art therapy from New York University.
I help my clients gain insight by understanding the "why" behind their behaviors and access tools they can use outside of the therapy session to move forward. My experience supporting those affected by trauma, grief, and mental illness shapes my compassionate and intuitive approach.
For those who struggle to express what they’re feeling through words, we may incorporate creative processes like drawing, painting, or storytelling to help make sense of what’s going on internally. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families to express and reconnect with themselves and others through creativity. As a practicing artist, I believe in the transformative power of art and invite clients to explore their challenges through both verbal and visual dialogue.
I am a faculty member at the Drama Therapy Institute of Los Angeles where I teach courses on affirming art therapy for LGBTQIA+ individuals and provide continuing education on art therapy [link to Art Therapy section] in clinical spaces at the Cognitive Behavior Associates in Beverly Hills.
I present at local and global conferences on applied psychotherapy and expressive arts therapy including the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, New York University School of Social Work, Shanghai Theater Academy, and the Ghana International School.
In addition to my private psychotherapy practice, I work as a clinical supervisor, a senior therapist at Harris and Long Psychotherapy and a consultant with educational institutions looking to integrate therapeutic modalities into their infrastructure.
My Approach
Therapy can create the space for the shifts we need to step into a life where we truly thrive.
