Supervision

I provide supervision for individuals acquiring clinical hours toward their LCAT (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist) and ATR-BC (Board Certified Registered Art Therapist) to develop skills in areas such as clinical case consultation, transference/countertransference, and self-care.

Creative arts therapy is a powerful tool in the clinical space, allowing clients to express themselves in ways that words cannot. This is also true in supervision, allowing supervisees to understand their work in potentially deeper ways and build a stronger supervisory relationship. We will also engage in a creative practice that can be used to strengthen the educational and supportive aspects of supervision.

I have practiced psychotherapy in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, school-based practices, treatment facilities, and private practice. My journey as a supervisor started at the queer affirming clinical group practice, Harris and Long Psychotherapy supporting interns and clinicians with limited permits as they transition int the professional filed of psychotherapy. I provide training and continuing education courses and workshops at the Drama Therapy Institute of LA, and the Cognitive Behavior Associates in Beverly Hills. My approach to supervision emphasizes the quality of the supervisory relationship and the development of awareness to inform the supervisee’s work with clients. I provide a safe and spontaneous space and often encourage supervisees to explore their own artists potential..
