ART THERAPY

Art Therapy Approach: Creativity is a bridge that connects us to other human beings. My work incorporates expression and play through the creative arts to help my clients find common ground, work through difficult emotions and find small moments of joy in the journey of healing.

Art therapy is a unique and gentle approach to healing and self-discovery. It combines the creative process with psychological support, creating a safe and nurturing space for individuals of all ages to explore the complexities of their emotions, develop self-awareness, manage stress, boost self-esteem, and improve social interactions. The goal of art therapy is to utilize the creative process to help encourage self-expression and, in doing so, find new ways to gain personal insight and develop new coping skills.

Art & LGBTQIA+: Art serves to deepen the exploration of the self amidst relational pressure and other problems faced as marginalized individuals in society. It also serves as a vehicle for challenging conventional norms that limit relationships based solely on physical gender identity. In my practice, we often use art to support this individualized journey..
